For many abandoned dogs and cats, life on the streets means facing hunger, illness, neglect, and uncertainty every single day. Without food, shelter, or someone to care for them, countless animals struggle simply to survive. Their silent suffering became the inspiration behind The Joyful Giver® Save the Strays Project.

Since childhood, Joy Frances Inocencio, Founder of The Joyful Giver®, has always had a deep love for animals. Seeing stray dogs and cats searching for food or shelter was something she could never ignore. Rather than asking who would help them, she chose to become part of the solution.

In 2018, Save the Strays quietly began. Using her personal resources, Joy started supporting animal shelters by providing food, financial assistance, and essential supplies to help care for abandoned and rescued animals. These acts of kindness were done privately, inspired by her belief that genuine generosity does not seek recognition but simply responds to the needs of others.

As the years passed, she realized that sharing this mission was not about recognition. It was about inspiring others to care. By opening this journey to the public through The Joyful Giver®, more people could become part of a growing movement dedicated to protecting animals, supporting rescue organizations, and promoting responsible pet ownership.

Today, Save the Strays continues to support shelters, provide food and essential supplies, and bring hope to animals waiting for a second chance. Every contribution helps improve the lives of dogs and cats while strengthening the efforts of the dedicated individuals and organizations working tirelessly to care for them.
