Bringing Smiles to Young Hearts at AFP Medical Center
As the year came to a close, The Joyful Giver® celebrated its final outreach of 2023 by visiting the pediatric patients of AFP Medical Center, also known as V. Luna Hospital. The project was created to bring moments of joy, comfort, and encouragement to children receiving medical care and to remind their families that they are not alone in their journey.
Together with dedicated volunteers and supporters, The Joyful Giver® shared groceries, meals, balloons, and gift packs with the young patients and their loved ones. While these gifts may have seemed simple, they carried a message of compassion, hope, and solidarity during a time when many families were facing difficult circumstances.
The smiles on the children's faces became the most meaningful reminder that kindness has the power to brighten even the most challenging days. A thoughtful gesture, a shared laugh, or a simple balloon can become a source of comfort that families remember long after the visit has ended.
The Joyful Giver® extends its heartfelt gratitude to Col. Jonna Dalida Dalaguit for joining this meaningful outreach and helping make the day even more memorable for the children and their families. We are also grateful to Ms. Mariana Atasha, whose willingness to serve reflected the next generation's spirit of compassion and generosity, and to Francis and Marie of Great Deals Home Depot for their valuable support in making this project possible.
This outreach reminded us that generosity is not measured by the size of a gift but by the hope it brings to others. Every act of kindness, no matter how simple, has the power to comfort a child, encourage a family, and strengthen a community.
As we welcomed a new year, we did so with grateful hearts and a renewed commitment to continue serving communities through compassion, service, and generosity. Together, we can continue creating lasting impact, one act of kindness at a time.
